Louis Kleyn, the president of Colombia’s Agencia Nacional de Infraestructura (ANI), presented his resignation effective 1 November, according to a 21 October press release published by ANI.

In his resignation letter, Kleyn cited personal and family reasons for the decision.

Once Kleyn’s resignation goes into effect, Manuel Felipe Gutiérrez, the vice minister of infrastructure, will serve as the interim president of the agency.

Kleyn assumed his position on 5 September 2018, according to an ANI release from the same day. Among his goals when he assumed office was securing the financing for the remaining 15 road public-private partnerships (PPPs) in Colombia’s 4G construction program.

Four of these concessions, Ruta del Cacao, Autopista al Mar 1, Autopista al Mar 2 and Pasto – Rumichaca, reached financial close during Kleyn’s tenure, according to Inframation Deals. In total, 17 of the 29 4G roads have reached financial close.
