Applegreen directors accept Blackstone Infra’s offer

Applegreen’s directors have accepted an offer from Blackstone Infrastructure Partners and the founders of the Irish motorway services operator, bringing the EUR 1.3bn take-private deal closer to completion.

The company’s founders Robert Etchingham and Joseph Barrett, and Blackstone Infrastructure will pay EUR 5.75 per share of the London-listed company, confirming their offer disclosed on 10 December. Applegreen’s independent directors accepted the bid, according to a statement from the operator on Tuesday (22 December).
