Engineer Mott MacDonald has shifted its rail sector head covering Australia and New Zealand from the UK to Australia.
Steve Godman, who has been working on Australia and NZ deals since 2015, will be responsible for leading the team’s expansion in Australasia.
Projects it is working on in the region include Sydney Metro, the Melbourne Metro Tunnel, Inland Rail and the expansion of Auckland’s rail network via the Auckland City Rail Link.
“I’m delighted to be taking up this role having spent much of the last year working on bids in Australia and New Zealand and building relationships with key clients,” Godman said in a statement.
Mott MacDonald advised the NSW government on the Sydney Convention Centre PPP, which reached financial close in 2012 and more recently was technical adviser on Tailem Bend solar project, which closed in February.
