Australia PM Scott Morrison speeds up big project approvals

Fifteen large infrastructure projects in Australia worth about AUD 72bn (USD 49bn) will be fast tracked to help the country recover from the pandemic, Prime Minister, Scott Morrison said today.

They include the AUD 10bn (USD 6.8bn), 1,700km Inland Rail from Melbourne to Brisbane, the AUD 3.5bn Marinus Link – a second undersea electricity interconnector between the states of Tasmania and Victoria – the Snowy Hydro Snowy 2.0 expansion and road, rail and water projects around the country.
