Nineteen companies have purchased tender documents for the UF 6.6M (USD 244m) Maule Network Hospital Network, according to documents recently published by the Concessions branch in Chile.
Interested bidders include six Spanish firms and four Chinese firms. Notable developers include China Railway Construction Corporation, Mexican firm Gia and Spanish developer Sacyr.
The works include the DBM of three hospitals, with a total of 368 beds, in the cities of Constitución, Cauquenes and Parral, all located in the Maule region in central Chile. The contract has a term of 15 years, including three and one-half years for design and construction.
The hospitals represent the first in a series of eight planned tenders for eighteen hospital concessions in the country.
