CDPQ has hired a senior director in Paris who previously worked for OMERS Infrastructure covering European energy investments.

Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) has hired Alejandro Lopez Delgado, formerly a director covering European energy investments at OMERS Infrastructure.

Dalgado joined CDPQ in Paris yesterday as a senior director in its infrastructure team, where he will focus on the origination and execution of energy and infrastructure transactions across Europe, says a source.

Delgado left OMERS last September after eight years at the Canadian fund manager, SparkSpread reported at the time.

Meanwhile, Andrew Marsden, a senior director at CDPQ in London and Paris, left the Montreal-headquartered fund manager late last year.

Marsden, a former head of GE Energy Financial Services’ principal investment business for EMEA and Latin America, is understood to have resigned so he could remain in London, rather than relocate full time to Paris or Montreal.
