Chilean hospital PPPs attract long list of interested companies

Fifty international companies have purchased the pre-tender documents for two upcoming Chilean hospital concessions, according to lists published by the Ministry of Public Works.

The same fifty companies bought the documentation for the Second Hospital Group: Red Bío Bío and the Third Hospital Group: Red Centro Sur, according to the documents.

The Ministry’s Concessions department will launch the tenders for both networks in the second quarter, according to the department’s website, although there is no fixed date yet.

The list of companies includes international developers from Asia, Europe and Latin America, such as Acciona, China Road and Bridge Corporation, Constructora y Edificadora GIA+AEngieFerrovialGraña y MonteroMota-Engil and Sacyr.

Other notable companies to purchase the documents include asset managers Macquarie Capital and Penta Las Américas and engineering companies Siemens and Samsung.
