China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) will form a partnership with a Swiss asset manager on overseas projects.

The Huabei Institute of power producer signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Geneva-based Mont-Blanc Asset Management, according to a company statement. It did not specify details of the project.

The pair will tie up on infrastructure and energy projects in the EPC plus financing mode. The Chinese firm will also look to benefit from the Swiss asset manager’s experience in project financing and asset management on overseas projects.

The CEEC Huabei Institute will provide technological and engineering services for project sponsors and also work out project financing proposals as well as asset management plans after they become operational.

The pair have already discussed potential collaboration on a number of overseas power projects, the statement said.

CEEC is one of the most active Chinese infrastructure and energy contractors overseas, with power, environment and transport projects located across Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia.

Mont-Blanc Asset Management is a Swiss asset manager whose business spans family office and financial products, with operations spanning French, Arabic and English speaking countries.
