Cleanaway flags further EfW plants in Brisbane and Melbourne

Waste manager Cleanaway expects to build several energy from waste projects across Australia’s eastern states, Chief Executive Vik Bansal said today.

The ASX-listed company is already developing with Macquarie Capital a 55MW EfW generator that could take 500,000 tonnes of waste a year in western Sydney. But Bansal said it also expects to build one in Brisbane as well as one of several sites around Victoria.
