Consortium begins to ‘demobilize’ from Purple Line project

Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP), the consortium behind the troubled Maryland-based light rail project, planned to begin terminating contracts with its subcontractors and suppliers on 4 August according to a 29 July letter sent by PLTP’s project manager, Peter van der Waart van Gulik to Matthew Pollack, CEO of the Maryland Transit Authority (MTA).

PLTP however has not yet started terminating subcontracts, according to a spokesperson for the PLTP.
