Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners reaches initial close on fourth renewables fund

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has held an initial close of its fourth renewable energy fund, ahead of a planned formal first close in June.

The Danish fund manager on 15 April signed a number of investors into Copenhagen Infrastructure IV (CI IV) as part of an interim close of the fund, according to two sources familiar and documents seen.

The manager, which has set a fundraising target of EUR 5.5bn for the fund and a hard cap of EUR 7.5bn, hopes to hold a formal first close in the region of EUR 1bn to EUR 2bn in June, the sources added.
