10 July 2018 - 12:00 am UTC

DC Advisory has hired infrastructure debt advisory specialist Stephen Davies from RBS, Inframation has learnt.

Davies, who is expected to join DC in September, spent a decade at RBS advising on a range of core and core-plus infrastructure transactions.

Recent deals he advised on include the refinancings last year of Luton Airport and emergency vessels operator Esvagt. Davies worked at Barclays for two years prior to joining RBS.

He joins DC’s growing team of infrastructure equity and debt financial advisers led by former senior Macquarie Capital executive Sergio Ronga. Established six years ago, it now has 25 staff.

Its other senior debt advisory specialists include Neale Marvin, JP Morgan’s former head of infrastructure debt, and Phillip Hyman, an ex-HSBC finance acquisition director.

Their recent infrastructure debt deals include the refinancing of Koole Terminals and the Rock RailSouth Western private placement.

As well as its debt advisory team, DC also has a sizable infrastructure equity M&A advisory practice.
