A group of senior project finance professionals led by CEO Helen Wade has formed new energy & infrastructure transaction services business.
Wade, a former director of project finance at NAB and head of project finance at Riverstone portfolio company Velocita Energy Development, is CEO of London-based Andaman Energy & Infrastructure.
Other senior staff include Chief Operating Officer Charles Grime, formerly of Allen & Overy and White & Case before founding a large-scale renewable energy business in East Africa; and Chief Investment Officer is Silja Turville, formerly head of infrastructure at Legal & General Investment Management.
Andaman has already secured a stream of early stage and off market projects requiring over $1 billion of equity investment in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Andaman’s pipeline of deals includes a large-scale energy infrastructure project where Andaman is supporting the project through new cornerstone equity investment and refining of the capital structure for the long term.
Wade told SparkSpread: “Andaman Energy and Infrastructure has been founded to deepen the connections between the early development and initial stages of projects and investors to increase the flow of attractive and robust projects to investors over the long term.
“I am delighted that we are already working with investors to develop bespoke projects that work well for equity, debt and all other key stakeholders. With our strong multi-disciplinary team, we can develop financeable projects from scratch and support projects throughout construction and operations with our specialist in house technical, legal, financing, risk mitigation and development and operational management skills.”
