Engie and a team including Sacyr and Plenary are among those shortlisted for the University of Idaho energy and utility public-private partnership (P3), sources told Inframation.
One source familiar with the procurement said ENGIE, which is the concessionaire for the two largest campus energy P3s to date, is one of the shortlisted firms, while another source familiar said Plenary and Sacyr were together on a shortlisted team.
It is unclear how many teams have been shortlisted. A University of Idaho official declined to comment, as did a spokesperson for Engie. Plenary and Sacyr did not return media inquiries at the time of publication.
Engie and Sacyr were among the 12 respondents to a 6 November request for qualifications (RFQ), a university official told Inframation in February. An RFP was set to be released 31 March, one source said, though it is unclear if this has been delayed by the COVID-19 outbreak. While the University of Idaho has suspended in-person classes, offices remain open.
