EY has made four “strategic” hires in the Americas to support its public and private clients with their infrastructure asset transactions, the advisory firm said on 9 March.
Ryan Yakubik (pictured), Julia Stefanishina, Etienne Lavoie-Gagnon and Gavin Thomas were hired specifically for the EY Transaction Advisory Services segment.
Yakubik, a managing director of Ernst & Young Infrastructure Advisors LLC in Los Angeles, previously served as CFO and deputy executive director of Los Angeles World Airports.
He brings an understanding of the aviation market and the business of airports across corporate finance and management functions to his new role. Yakubik will help EY deliver advisory solutions to public and private clients in the airport and broader transportation sector.
Stefanishina, an associate partner in Toronto, rejoins EY bringing almost two decades of experience in infrastructure and real estate.
She will support both the infrastructure advisory and transaction real estate practices, focusing on transit-oriented development, airport development, health care and educational facilities surplus land and complimentary development mega projects and smart cities.
Lavoie-Gagnon, an associate partner in Montreal, brings over 20 years of experience originating, completing and managing investments in the infrastructure and energy sectors, including managing a USD 4.4bn portfolio of infrastructure and energy assets.
