Gary Sumray, Sumitiomo Mitsui Banking Corp.’s former head of project finance loan syndications in London, has launched his own independent advisory firm.

GRS Advisory will look to source financial advisory mandates across energy & infrastructure sectors, including energy transition and renewables.

It will offer advisory services to lenders, including banks, infrastructure funds and institutional investors, sponsors and developers, recruiters and advisors, as well as government and multilaterals.

Sumway will work independently but be willing to team up with other consultants to offer advisory services, according to his newly launched website.

Sumray left SMBC in April 2019, having joined the bank in 1999 as assistant general manager for project finance.
