Goldman Sachs has named Phil Prenc as head of infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand.
Prenc has been with the investment bank in Sydney as an executive director since 2016. He has advised governments, funds and corporate clients on transactions including the part-sale of the Westconnex motorway and the Port of Napier IPO.
“Phil will maintain his existing client responsibilities and take ownership for the overall strategic direction and success of our infrastructure franchise,” according to an internal email signed by four senior Goldman partners.
Prenc replaces former infrastructure head Antony Steinberg, who moved to RBC Capital Markets in June.
Prenc’s appointment is effective immediately.
