India sets package to help developers offset toll losses

The Indian government has finalised a package to offset losses suffered by toll road developers from a 25-day suspension of collections, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

The National Highways Authority of India – which operates under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways – has sent a circular to its regional offices detailing the plan, the sources said late yesterday. They did not say when the document would be made public.
