Indonesia to push ahead with infra-focused Sovereign Wealth Fund

The Indonesian government has iterated that plans to launch a new infrastructure-focused sovereign wealth fund will move ahead after the COVID-19 crisis ends, the official news agency Antara reported yesterday.

The United Arab Emirates government recently asked whether the project would progress, the agency cited Indonesia Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Pandjaitan as saying. The country is is currently focused on the pandemic, but negotiations will continue afterward, he said.

The minister did not provide more details on a possible timeline.
