John Laing is expanding its presence in communications infrastructure as it has hired Sebastian Caputto from RBC Capital Markets, said a source close to the situation.
Caputto joined John Laing as an investment director.
He started with John Laing earlier this week, being based in Denver.
Prior to joining the firm Caputto served as a director RBC for nine years, according to this LinkedIn profile.
The publicly listed John Laing is exploring a range of public and privately-procured greenfield opportunities across the communications sector.
Last year, John Laing struck a deal with Michigan-based Light Source Communications to develop a 438-mile long-haul dark fiber route in North Carolina and Tennessee. The project is presently delayed, added the source close.
