Keppel to explore gas procurement for floating data centre

Singapore-based Keppel Corporation’s data centre unit has partnered with two gas companies for the procurement of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen to power a potential floating data centre park (FDCP) project in the city state.

Keppel Data Centre and Singapore’s City Gas and City-OG Gas Energy Services signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to explore the procurement of LNG for the project and the possibility of transitioning to hydrogen in the long term. Keppel did not mention any financials in its announcement.
