Korean investors acquire Finnish wind portfolio from Taaleri

Finnish fund manager Taaleri has agreed to sell a portfolio of Finnish onshore wind farms to a consortium of Korean investors.

Hana Financial Investments and Korea Investment & Securities are investing debt and equity to purchase the 73.2 MW portfolio, via funds managed by NH Amundi and IBK Asset Management.

The sale is expected to close this month, with Taaleri to continue to provide asset management.

It has also been contracted as technical and commercial manager of the assets.

The portfolio comprises the Nyby, Myllykangas and Myllykangas II wind farms, which are co-located 55km north of the city of Oulu.

All of the wind farms were commissioned between 2015 and 2016.

Taaleri has invested in Finnish wind assets through three dedicated wind funds.

It also invests in the asset class through its latest SolarWind II fund, which holds the under-development 91 MW Oltava project.

Scala Fund Advisory acted as placement agent on the transaction.
