Colombia is planning to tender three new justice PPPs in 4Q18, a source at the National Planning Department (DNP) told Inframation.
The source estimated that the three projects would be worth a combined USD 350m, but declined to provide a breakdown.
Bonus Banca de Inversión (financial) and Currie & Brown (technical) are advising the FGN on project structuring for the first two projects. Profit Banca de Inversión (financial), Setec (technical) and Opebsa (legal) are advising the CSJ on the Ciudadela project.
The source said all three projects have been structured and are undergoing final reviews before their submission to the Treasury.
Elsewhere in social infrastructure, the government in January released preliminary tender documents for two school concession packages with a combined capex of USD 243.5m. It has yet to set a date for the tender launch.
The country is also preparing tenders for hospital PPPs in Bogotá and prison PPPs.
The Ciudadela Judicial project aims to house multiple legal functions in a single complex by building a new 130,000m2 facility in Bogotá’s Paloquemao neighborhood. This will include legal offices, hearing rooms, service centers and new offices.
The Nivel Central II – Paloquemao project will sit on an 80,000m2 site, which previously housed the Security Administration Department building. The new FGN headquarters in Cali will provide new office facilities in a 56,545m2 complex.
