Sacyr and Agunsa have won the new El Tepual airport concession in Puerto Montt, according to a filing in the Chilean Official Journal on Tuesday (3 April).
The six-year concession will expand and improve the existing passenger terminal, construct a parking lot and implement better road access, according to a Wednesday statement by Spain’s Sacyr.
The project will expand the terminal from 9,900 m2 to 16,000 m2, to increase the passenger flow to three million per year.
The estimated capex of the project is 810,000 Unidades de Fomento (UI – an indexed unit to the CLP), around USD 35.7m.
The winning consortium presented a bid of CLP 1,979 (USD 3.27) per passenger transported.
The new concession will start in May.
