A local consortium won the auction for the MS-306 highway concession with a fee of BRL 605.3m (USD 143.5m). The consortium offered six times more than the competitor Via Brasil, who offered only BRL 100m for the contract.
Way-306 is formed by the logistic company GLP, the construction company Engenharia e Comércio Bandeirantes, the landscaping TORC and by TCL and Senpar, former partners at concessionaire MGO.
The consortium was financially advised by Itau BBA. According to Danillo Marcondes, head of Infrastructure Investments of GLP, the project will have a 30% to 40% equity investment. Way-306 is negotiating a loan with BNDES and is also considering issuing debentures.
The consortium was a runner-up in the auction for BR 364/365 road concession which EcoRodovias won in September.
