Mainstream Renewable Power has appointed Rothschild to advise on bringing in a corporate-level equity partner, sister publication SparkSpread reported.
Mainstream recently ran a beauty parade of potential advisors, and J.P. Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch had made the shortlist, according to a source.
A spokesman for Dublin-based Mainstream declined comment.
Mainstream is seeking a new shareholder in part to fund the near-term rollout of a 2.2 GW project portfolio across the globe.
“Mainstream will appoint advisors to independently assess and validate the company’s business portfolio with a view to potentially finding a Top Co. partner who shares Mainstream’s vison, values and sense of mission; and who could help to drive this ambitious build-out programme over the coming years,” a Mainstream spokesman had said previously.
