New Chinese bidder emerges in Zuma Energía sale process

China Power International Holding (CPIH) has emerged as a new bidder for the 818 MW Actis-backed Zuma Energía renewable energy platform, according to four sources familiar with the situation.

CPIH, which is a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation, is in negotiations with Zuma’s owners – emerging market fund Actis Energy 3 and its minority partner Central American investor Mesoamerica, according to the sources.
