Inframation has identified four teams set to bid on British Columbia’s Pattullo Bridge project.
The DBF project is set to have a finance component of CAD 300m of the project’s total 1.37bn construction costs, which will be repaid by the province once the development reaches substantial completion.
The RFQ for the Pattullo Bridge project in British Columbia is expected in May, said a source familiar.
The source said the market was working off a CBC radio interview in which Minister of Transportation, Claire Trevena, said the RFQ was slated for May. ‘Perhaps she knows something, we don’t”, said the source.
The project includes the construction of a tolled four-lane bridge across the Fraser River in British Columbia. The bridge will link the city of New Westminster to the city of Surrey.
The current Pattullo Bridge has a remaining lifespan of eight-to-nine years, following a number of rehabilitation expenses valued at CAD 50-100m. The authorities intend to have the replacement bridge reach substantial completion in approximately six years.
