NSW studies lottery sale as infra pipeline tops AUD 107bn

New South Wales is considering selling its lottery tax income to help fund its growing infrastructure pipeline, which is forecast to reach AUD 107.1bn (USD 78.4bn) over the next four years.

About 67% of this spending is on transport projects and the state’s infrastructure budget now eclipses even the national government’s promise of AUD 110bn made in October for transport infrastructure over the next decade, the NSW budget papers say.
