The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) issued an RFP for a real estate license to build out and operate broadband wireless connectivity infrastructure—cellular connections—in the L Line tunnel under the East River, the agency said on 27 December.

Proposals from companies that would license space to build connectivity in the L Line tunnel are due on 13 January.
