Pair of Lazard bankers find new positions

07 October 2019 - 12:00 am UTC

Two members of Lazard’s power, energy and infrastructure investment banking group in New York have resigned and are set to join rival firms, according to sister publication Sparkspread.

They are Gregory Han, a director; and Li Wynn Tan, a vice president.

Han is set to join Evercore as a managing director, and Tan is understood to be in talks to join Goldman Sachs, according to two industry sources.

At Evercore, Han will fill a role vacated by Brian Chung, a managing director who left several months ago to take a business development role at NextEra Energy.

A spokeswoman at Lazard declined to comment.

Officials at Evercore and Goldman could not immediately be reached.

The departures follow the resignation from Lazard earlier this year of George Bilicic, global head of power, energy and infrastructure, to join Sempra Energy.

Subsequently, Komu Kumar, a vice president in Lazard’s power, energy and infrastructure group in New York, resigned to take a similar role at BofA Securities.
