Joint venture company White River Renewables has agreed to acquire two Mexican solar plants with 155MW capacity, JV partner Riverstone said on 7 November.

White River, a newly-created joint venture between US private investment firm Riverstone and Switzerland-headquartered energy and infrastructure investor White Summit Capital, is acquiring the 130MWp Las Viborillas and the 25MWp San Ignacio solar PV plants.

The deal is expected to close either in this quarter or in 1Q20.

The plants are located in Aguascalientes and the Yucatán peninsula respectively.

Both plants are fully operational, having reached COD under their power-purchase agreements (PPA) in September 2018 and May 2019, respectively.
