Jessie Jin, an assistant director at Rothschild’s infrastructure advisory arm, is due to join GIC’s London-based infrastructure investment business later this month, sources said.

Jin (pictured) is expected in her new role to work closely with Floortje Brouwers, who oversees the Singaporean sovereign wealth fund’s junior debt offering.

One source said that GIC offers “mezzanine” – or junior – loans to investors across the globe, partly doing so through its corporate balance sheet.

A separate source said that while Jin has an infrastructure debt background, including spending almost five years at RBS’ energy, utilities and infrastructure team, she may also work on equity deals at GIC.

Jin worked at RBS between 2013 and November 2017, first as an analyst and from January 2016 as an associate director, according to her Linkedin page. She joined Rothschild as an associate in November 2017, and was promoted to assistant director at the investment bank in April this year.

Brouwers also previously worked in RBS’ infrastructure division, first as its vice president of power and infrastructure advisory between 2011 and 2015, and then as its director of infrastructure finance between May 2015 and September 2018, according to her Linkedin page.
