Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) has reorganized its Asia Pacific investment and corporate banking businesses, including project finance.
The changes are designed to ensure that clients receive comprehensive coverage across SMBC’s product range, the bank said in an emailed statement.
Rajeev Kannan, who has been promoted to Managing Executive Officer and Deputy Head of Asia Pacific Division, will take responsibility for integrating the banks coverage and product platforms. Previously, Kannan was head of Investment Banking for Asia.
Singapore-based Ken Tomisaki and Luca Tonello have been named Co-General Managers of the Asia Pacific structured finance business. Tomisaki had been general manager with responsibility for credit and portfolio management, while Tonello held a similar role as head of Asia Global Structured Finance.
