St Louis Airport opportunity lies in long-term O&M contract

The bulk of the opportunity for a private partner in St. Louis’ Lambert International Airport P3 lease is the willingness of the city to completely hand over all operations and maintenance to the winning bidder for the length of the lease.

As a result, bidders have the opportunity for ingenuity in their efforts to pitch to the city how they will bring new revenue sources to the airport, according to several sources close to the procurement process. The additional revenue generation is also expected to help improve the city’s debt service on the airport.

The winning team will likely be the one with the most robust plan to make those improvements it deems necessary to increase the customer experience and, therefore, revenue.
