St. Louis Mayor pulls support from St. Louis Lambert airport P3, halting process

St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson has pulled her support from the St. Louis Lambert P3 project, effectively canceling the process.

Krewson sent a letter to other members of the airport working group on 20 December letting them know she would not support or vote to move forward with issuing an RFP. She later posted a copy of the letter on her Twitter account.

The airport working group delayed a vote on 17 December to approve a shortlist and release the RFP. At the time there was no promise of when the vote would be taken, but the group was trying to schedule a meeting for Monday 23 December.

Voting members of the working group are Mayor Lyda Krewson, Board of Alderman President Lewis E. Reed, City Manager Paul Payne and Comptroller Darlene Greene.
