The Australian head of structured finance is leaving MUFG Bank.
MUFG has lost its most senior Australian project finance executive after Geoff Daley went on garden leave earlier this week, according to market sources.
Daley was general manager and head of the Australian Structured Finance Office at the Japanese bank, where he has worked since 2012. He took up his current role early last year.
One of the sources added Daley has not yet taken up a new role with another employer.
Daley previously headed Royal Bank of Scotland’s infrastructure advisory business, and worked there for six years before moving to MUFG.
He began his career as a lawyer, working as a partner at Blake Dawson and as a foreign associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.
