Three teams have been shortlisted for the CAD 2.8bn (USD 2.1bn) Millennium Line Broadway Extension (SkyTrain) P3 in Vancouver, Inframation has learned.
The three shortlisted teams are as follows, according to a source close to the procurement:
- Aecon, Dragados, Hatch, ACS (financial advisor), WSP
- SNC Lavalin
- Acciona, Grupo Ghella, Mott MacDonald, Parsons
A team composed of Astaldi, Colas Group, Jacobs and Salini Impregilo had returned qualifications, but was not shortlisted for the next steps of the procurement, according to a second source.
KPMG is advising the grantor on the procurement.
The project is the first phase of rapid transit that will connect Commercial Drive to the University of British Columbia by extending the Millennium Line. The extension of SkyTrain’s second line will stretch westward from a terminus at VCC-Clark to a new terminus at Arbutus Street.
SkyTrain is a driverless system and has the lowest operating costs on a per kilometer and per passenger basis than other transportation alternatives.
All of the parties contacted either declined comment or did not return calls seeking comment.
