Two teams submitted proposals for the Hurontario LRT project ahead of the 23 May request for proposal (RFP) deadline, according to a press release issued from grantor Infrastructure Ontario.
The teams are as follows:
- Mobilinx (Astaldi Group, John Laing, Transdev, Hitachi-Ansaldo, Amico Concessions)
- Trillium Transit Partners (Kiewit, Meridiam, Keolis)
Three teams were shortlisted in August 2017 and invited to submit RFPs. However, the process got delayed amid an audit of Metrolinx’s entire portfolio of LRT projects. The project’s scope was then changed to reduce the length and number of stops.
The other team shortlisted, Hurontario Light Rail Connection Partners (Cintra, Acciona and Colas), did not submit a bid.
Over the next several months, submissions will be evaluated and a successful bidder is expected to be announced in early fall 2019.
