Three shortlisted for Ontario’s Hurontario LRT

Three teams have been shortlisted for the CAD 1.5bn (USD 1.1bn) Hurontario LRT project in Ontario, InfraAmericas understands

The project RFP is expected in July, it is understood. 

The three unsuccessful teams are:
 
– EllisDon, Fluor Corporation, Bombardier 
– Grupo ACS, AECON, Dufferin, Serco
– SNC-Lavalin, Graham

A source familiar said the shortlisted teams were informed approximately 10 days ago. 

The shortlist for Hamilton LRT project is yet to be released, sources said. Qualifications were returned on 29 March. 
 
Project details
The DBFOM project involves the construction of 20km of dedicated track between Port Credit Go Station in Mississauga and the Gateway Terminal at Steeles Avenue in Brampton.

The project will serve 22 stops and includes a maintenance and storage facility for light rail vehicles located at Highway 407. The project’s scope also includes the procurement of a fleet of light rail vehicles, and operations for the system.
