UK “last mile” fibre provider Grain Connect selling equity stake

Grain Connect is seeking more than GBP 100m of extra capital to help it roll out full-fibre networks, a transaction likely to be of interest to infrastructure funds as they increasingly target the sector. 

The Carlisle, Cumbria-based company, which specialises in building broadband networks for new housing developments across the UK, has appointed Cameron Barney to advise it on an equity fundraise and is due to release teasers shortly, its managing director Richard Robinson said in an email sent to Inframation
