UPDATED : Three teams return proposals for Newfoundland health P3

Three teams have returned proposals for the St. Johns Mental Health And Addictions Facility public private partnership project, Inframation has learned.

UPDATE : This story was updated to reflect that the Sacyr team is composed of Sacyr, RCS Construction and Stantec.

The three consortium to answer the request for qualifications issued on 15 November are Avalon Healthcare Partnership, NL Healthcare Partners and Atlantic Healthcare Group, according to a source close to the procurement.

Two other sources have confirmed the following composition of the teams.

  • NL Healthcare Partners : Fengate Asset Management, Parkin Architects, Pomerleau, Olympic Construction, SNC Facilities Maintenance
  • Plenary, Marco, Cahill
  • Sacyr, RCS Construction and Stantec

A shortlist is expected in April with RFP issuance in May. A preferred proponent is anticipated to be selected in Spring 2020.

In December 2017, a Plenary-led team has reached financial close on the Corner Brook Long-Term Care Home P3.

The Corner Brook Acute Care Hospital P3 and the Gander – Grand Falls-Windsor Care Homes P3 are currently in procurement in Newfoundland. For the latter, the grantor has shortlisted teams led by Plenary, Fengate and Bird. The Corner Brook hospital has teams led by Plenary and Sacyr shortlisted.

The new 94-bed facility will be built on the Health Sciences Centre campus and will be connected to the existing hospital and will also include a new parking garage on the site to add a minimum of 120 parking spaces.
